Hey Ding Dongs and Miscreants,
Since you all like to villify me on a regular basis, I thought it would be nice to point out just how compassionate Kent and his minions are toward JWs!
You hypocrites turn a blind eye to your own apostate heroes while accusing me and a few others of their very sins.

The Great War!
by Kent ineither we like it or not, were in a war.
an information-war; where the ones wanting to expose the watchtower are on the one side of the frontline the watchtower and their henchmen on the other.
in any war some kind of an intelligence service is essential, and this war is no different than any other war.

What do you think of Seeker (good or bad)?
by Seeker inreading farkel's thoughts about being called names, and remembering my own discouragement about the same thing, and thinking about all the posts recently decrying the fighting and bad language, i'm curious to know how my "seeker" persona is perceived here.
i know i have fought with some, made friends with others, so how i am perceived will be varied.
i want to know it all, the good, the bad, the ugly.

>I side with Seeker. Your explainations of truth have been debunked so many times here I won't bother to do it again.
That's not only an easy out, it is a cop out.
>As far as knowing the teachings of the protestant religions, can anybody know all the different ways they explain the bible?
Wow! That's pretty general and conveniently so. Thousands of subjects condensed into 'explain the Bible'.
>I have been attending an independant Christian church for about a year, to learn first hand what they do and teach. When you have seen one, you have seen them all.
Uh, how does one church experience translate into, 'seen one seen them all'?
>I have seen all the human faults expressed and demonstrated here.
Christians aren't perfect, they're just forgiven!
>It is claimed that it is directed and inspired by Holy Spirit,
Directed by the Holy Spirit in light of agreement with the Bible, that's the key.
>if so God is human. Religion is an invention of humans as can be seen by the history of all religions. I don't think the Creator would claim them.(If there is a Creator who made things as cruel as nature.)
And you seem to be a liar. You are an atheist trying to masquerade as a church-goer. If you think there is no God, then why are you going through the motions?
Sheesh, what a ditz. Next time you go to a gunfight leave the butter knife at home....

Uh Chuck,
Those chaps who did the frauds in a limited area of England, did NOT go worldwide with it, which is what's happening now and began even before their disclosure. Just like other unexplainable events, we look to quick to an eas, catch-all explanation.
After all, we wouldn't want to think that our science cannot explain it all.

Hi Seeker,
I regularly nail you for your sometimes immediate response to my posts that oppose the clique of atheists/agnostics who are prominent here. They can defend themselves.
I feel that you have placed too much faith in man's alleged wisdom and learning.
You seem to associate JWism with legitimate Christianity in ways that do not apply.
You seem to feel that any unanswered question or mystery from the Bible is an indeitment of it's truth.
Believer's views are every bit as valid as anyone elses. Scientists are no better than any other human being in ability, integrity and in handling peer pressure.
I just can't see any evidence from your posts that you have studied the Bible in depth, regarding the teachings of protestantism. I urge you to investigate and see just why we believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone and:
1) Jesus and the Holy Spirit are separate persons but God in the fullest sense, Almighty, Lord of Hosts.
2) There are only two options for mankind, heaven or hell.
3) God's Holiness demands retribution (justice) be meted out 'according to their deeds'. Anhilationism ignores the justice due each individual, including the victim's justice.
4) Man is an immortal being who lives within a physical body.
5) Most important: God himself died on the cross as a propitiation for our sins, enabling any who seek Him out eternal life by claiming His sacrifice for their sins.
Believe it or not, the above may sound foolish or even offensive but once you really understand what is being taught it makes sense scripturally and historically.

Dogpatch: Just wondering where you stand

Hi Randy,
Your words below:
>Religious fundamentalists, whether they be Christian, Moslem, or whatever are driven by archaic rules systems. This is especially embarrassing for the Christian variety, since their own leader condemned rules for living.Do we follow Christ's lead or not, Randy (the Great Commision, warning people of hell, immorality, etc.)?
Do we cut out the parts of the Bible that WE think are not relevant (Paul's various writings that include 'archaic rules)?
Why would you critisize those who seek to hold to 'sola scriptura' as the basic interpretation of scripture?
BTW, since your a Christian you should know that 'fundys', unless they are extremists, believe strongly in letting each one's own conscience make decisions, it's called 'Christian freedom'.
What's more important, the truth of what scripture says or what people want to hear?

Copernicus,
>Jesus’ own words where used to justify this: “For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a young wife against her mother-in-law. Indeed, a man’s enemies will be persons of his own household. He that has greater affection for father or mother than for me is not worthy of me; and he that has greater affection for son or daughter than for me is not worthy of me.”This is exactly what happened when family members chose to take different paths regarding belief in Christ and the resurrection. You have to remember the Jewish world view. Christianity was a sect, a cult if you will and took years to break away from Judaism.
In the second part Jesus was pointing out that God could accept no less from His followers complete love, love that goes way beyond the love shown toward family and friends. What did it take for someone like Paul to leave behind his whole life and wealth, prestige and honor, to die as a prisoner of the Romans? That also applies to others who died or lost loved ones just as well.
Charles Colson explains in his book how even the most powerful men in the world could not hold together a conspiracy. Watergate broke within two weeks of the allegations. He says this is enough proof for him that the apostles and others did not die for some falsehood. They would have scattered like rats, recanted to the authorities, when people started to imprison and kill them.
